Hi,
You have to inset the Dataview Web Part into a web part zone.
So insert a web part zone in SharePoint Designer (Toolbar>Insert>SharePoint Controls>Web Part Zone
Then drag the Data View Web Part into your new web part zone.
Save it, and you should be able to use this web part as a standard web part.

Hello Darren,
If you are using MOSS 2007 you can use Keywords for best bet results.
Todo this:
Go to Site Actions (from you site collection)
Under the site collection administration group click on Search Keywords
Add new keyword (training)
Click on add best Bet
and add the destination url and the title and description for that url that ...

Where are they stored ?
What items/documents do you want to display on your rss feed?
For example
an rss feed from a dl will dislpay links to the documents.
an rss feed for the search page will display link to the search results for a specific query

You can create a permission level that suit your needs and the assign it to a specific user or group.
go to you root site
go to site action an select ''Modify All Site Settings'' (Under Settings if you are using a publishing site)
Under User and Permissions column click on People and Groups
Click on ''Site Permissions'' on ...
