So basicaly at it's heart MOSS provides a framework for 3rd parts apps and add-ins? So if I had requirements such as News articles, staff searches, MIS reporting etc this could be covered by the core functionality. BUT things such as a holiday booking system, sick/absence management, expences management... then I should look at 3rd party apps or ...

Hi all.. I'm a PM looking at implementing Sharepoint within my firm to replace our ageing Intranet solution. I'm also hoping the Sharepoint will be able to handle our Extranet needs etc... The only issue however is that every demo I have seen thus far covers out the box functionality and what I realy want is to see the product pushed to
