Dear All,
This may be a bit of a simplistic task for some of you, but as a non developer, I am struggling to get my head around the following. I am trying to get hold of the XML search results returned to the Core Search Results web part from SharePoint search. I want to use my own tranformation and client side scripts (java) to manipulate the ...

Well, the fact that it works from servera suggests that a single installation would be fine however, I really do need to bottom out your installation first.
So my understanding is that you have reporting services on ServerB.
Which would in theory mean, if you went for the default ...

Hi ya,
Just a quick question, having gone through a lot of pain with this in TFS and SharePoint. You have two options - SharePoint Integrated Mode and Native Mode.
From what I understand, you have two servers both with RS installed on. Now the question is where is the RS database stored. I assume you will have installed two shell instances of RS

Dear All,
Does anyone have any guidance on configuring sharepoint to use an external exchange system and smtp service which is residing on another box. I am assuming that you can use another smtp service hosted elsewhere and don't necessarily need SMTP on the sharepoint box for it to be able to process email.
Kind regards

Dear All,
I am trying to provison a page via the xml declarations used in features. I can deploy the page to the location fine, however, i find that when deploying to a library, it associates the default content type to the document. I.e if document is the default content type, but i wish to associate the basic page or web part page, then I am a ...

Hi ya,
Many thanks for the swift reply.
Have checked for dependencies, but I do not believe this is the issue. Let me give you an example, I have a feature which places a page - sometask.aspx into a document library and create a top nav of sometask to sometask.aspx. The page has two web parts pre deployed on there, they work fine etc and ...
