SharePoint User Group UK

When user try to access portal site on which user do not have access rights, sharepoint 2003 prompt for user name and password.   Problem is that user cancel the login prompt but it still keep prompting and user have to kill the process from task manager.   This is very irritating situation fro user. Kindly tell how to solve this ...

i have upgraded SPS 2003 to MOSS, upgraded SQL to 2005. when i search any document site the result show no data. when i check or index it gives me no index even thoough i have done full crawl. tell me how to i fix it and make search active.  

i have created sub sites like site1 -> subsite1-1 - > subsite 1-1-1 now problem is that when i give readonly access to on just subsite1-1-1 user added successfully but when user try to access website site is not accessible. user not able to access site, access request page open after some attempts each site has unique permission.

I have done in-place upgrade of sharepoint server2003 to sharepoint 2007. Upgrade process was successfull. I monitored the upgrade of all site at sharepoint 2003. now problem is that how i will get the my old sharepoint 2003 site in sharepoint 2007. any idea and help will be appreciated.
