I think your just missing read permissions to the Master page gallery. Give the viewer group read access and your Access Denied error should disappear.

Hello ihenders,
The list templates links will only appear at the Site Collection level. Add the templates there. You can then browse to your sub site and click on ''Page layout and Site Template Settings''. You can then change what templates page and site templates are available to sub sites.

Not that I know of. If there are not too many audience groups to modify, add a rule to each audience where:
Operand = User;
Operator = Member Of
Value = ITPROJECTS
All members of the ITPROJECTS can view the web parts, but if they do not have permissions in MOSS, security is still in place.

Hi James,
You may have to add yourself to each Audience group or create an admin audience and instruct the designers to add your audience to the web parts in addition to their own audiences.

Hello Ravie,
Yes, I have had to enter all memebers in to the viewers group. No, the AD group did not work for me. I have only used SP1 on a couple client sites and they do not have the problem. Looking at the SP1 excel bug fix file from microsoft, there are some email alert fixes but none specific to what you and I have encountered.

I have seen this happen when a site template is created from any site, then another site template is created from an instance of the previous site template. Recreate the site template from a blank site and see if that works. If it does not, try deactivating the publishing feature and try to create a site.

Oddly enough that worked. Other values that worked were ''0000'' and ''000''. Another strange microsoft day.

I have an odd bug occuring. I have view filters which says show all items when the following is true: ID=>0 and <=999, the second view has ID=>1000 and <=1499. The second view works properly, the first view shows no items (it previously worked, nothing was changed).

Create each department group. Add users to each group. By default each document library will inherit site permissions. To break inheritance and modify permissions try the instructions below.
Go to the Finance document library, go to permissons for this document library.
