• Re: New SharePoint in UK Schools Blog

Hi Johnny......can I suggest it might be worth your while looking at our site - http://www.the-kraal.com It has a gallery of screenshots from schools using SharePoint portals, and an e-book featuring a case study designing a SharePoint portal for our school. A lot of information which we would have liked to have available when we were ...

Yes that's correct Sohail. In that way the person posting the file will only see their own. Make sure you do this to the default view of the library. Mark

  • Re: SLK Assignments

Hi Sohail, I guess that a set of libraries with appropriate permissions for students would work - but unless you have some kind of provisioning tool this would be a huge task. My inclination would be to pursue a SCORM authoring tool, and then SLK will do the work for you - or revert to good old email! Anyone else have any thoughts on ...

  • Re: SLK Assignments

Hi Sohail, As far as I know there is no way that a student can return a non SCORM resource via SLK. That is why we have retained Class Server for now, so that we can create SCORM compliant resources for this purpose where needed. With your set up at present I wuld say that students will need to save their assignments locally to complete ...

  • Re: SLK Assignments

We also use Word documents as the basis for assignments in SLK. Students open the document from their Assignment Diary and can then save them locally if need be. They have to return them either via email or hard copy in the conventional way. We still use Class Server for interactive assignments, which can be complleted online by the ...

  • Re: Request for Sharepoint case studies

Hi Jose, Thanks for the link to your site. Do you have any schools in Slovenia (or elsewhere) who are using your system? If so, perhaps you could put me in touch with them, so that I can use one or twoin the showcase? Mark

  • Request for Sharepoint case studies

Hi all, I run a Sharepoint portal for students, staff and parents at a school in Brighton. I am increasingly aware of all the work that goes on around the country as schools are developing their own Sharepoint platforms. In recognition of this, and to give a flavour of the various systems out there, I would like to ...
