Does anyone know of any existing tools in the market for integrating SharePoint 2007 with GroupWise or companies that specilaise in doing this?

What do you mean by integrating groupwise Terry ? Groupwise is a mail server so are you refering to a company using groupwise as the mail delivery system for SharePoint lists and notifications ?

Unfortunately Steve, it's a bit loose at this stage and very early days - they are considering MOSS wuthin their business as an intrnal/external collaboration platform and have GroupWise for email (which they will keep for a while) and want to know generally what the integration options are. We're trying to get a bit more in the way of specific requirements from them.

    Re: SharePoint and GroupWise?

There is no integration needed. Groupwise is a mail server and sends SMTP EMails. SharePoint does not talk to groupwise at all nor does it need to. When you configure the outgoing mail server in SharePoint it can be any smtp server. SharePoint is not a mail delivery system so would never do the same job as Groupwise. The client needs to first understand SharePoint and then he will probably rephrase his question.
