SharePoint User Group UK

I have made changes to staff info in Active Directory and imported the profile database.

When searching for people, the updated tel numbers etc aren't shown in the search, but if you click on the person's name to view their profile the info is updated.

I've tried doing full updates within Configure Search and Indexing to no avail.

Where am I going wrong?  I must be overlooking something, but it used to work...

If updates aren't coming through it's best to do reset the index (make sure you turn off alerts as prompted) and then performing a full crawl.  After the full crawl check the error log to make sure the crawler can access the user profiles.
