Hi Guys,
I have 4 SharePoint farms in three locations round the world. The two farms in the UK seem ok and I know when the web-front end \ application server gets rebooted (generally once a month).
The other two farms are in Canada and Australia and probably haven't been rebooted for a few months (I'm not responsible for patching them or managing the hardware - just the SharePoint environment).
On both of these farms on the web-front end \ application server the process wssadmin.exe is consuming 9GB of memory! (Yes 9 Gig.) On my UK farms it's more like 100->200 MB.
I've also noticed that on these two farms the wssadmin.exe process is allocated around 300,000 handles, compared with maybe 6,000 on the UK farms.
No errors in the eventlog yet - but on monday on the Canada farm a user was getting out of memory errors when trying to access a list (problem resolved itself before anyone get round to doing anything about it).
Anyone got any ideas?
Cheers,
Chris
