Hi,
We were testing to upgrade Sp2007 to 2010 using attach detach method and found that after upgrade the Content database had grown by 50% than before upgrade size. Which is an overhead to the system which i am using.
So I am not sure if we could do something to have the Content DB back to normal size or is this the default behaviour of upgrade w/SP 2010.
Has someone come across such behaviour in the past and can someone advice on this situation.

Have you checked/confirmed the free space in SQL to make sure it wasn't consumed during the upgrade process during the attach?

HI, You can check the space avaialbe in the Sql Server as the upgrade process requires size as per the content databse being used. The best practice is to provide some other path where log and transaction files can reside. Thanks
