I am a technical recruiter, not a techy, but have been hearing things from a lot of my developers about SP 2013, can anyone tell me when it is due for release and what the impact is likely to be, I like to stay ahead of the game and it is something my clients are going to want to discuss.

There are no release dates for SP2013 it has only just gone into Public Beta. For Developers and It pro's who want to be able to work with clients that are early adopters then those contractors should get skilled up on SP2013 as soon as they can in order to advise clients correctly on the right way to work with the new product compared to say SP2010.
