Part One - Nick Swan

As it's our first visit to Manchester an introduction to MOSS 2007 and WSS 3.0 seems like a great start. We'll take a look at the SharePoint feature wheel and discuss the things you need to think about when deploying SharePoint 2007 in your organisation.

Part Two - Liam Cleary

Having worked on many SharePoint projects, one of the key reasons people either adopt SharePoint or not is the "look and feel". If your portal or site doesn't look nice people will find it hard to want to use it. In this session we will look the basics of branding a MOSS2007 portal using the latest technologies. Remmeber "If you build it (so it looks nice) they will come!!"

This meeting is the same day at the Content and Code one in Microsoft Reading,  which finishes at 2pm so should be possible to do both.

Hi,

I asked the question previously on Manchester 10th April post which i didn't get any reply. Adding to my frustration is that the post itself is gone as well.

I asked what time the event would be finishing as we would be coming from Newcastle plus any other details we would like to know (This is my first event)? I might be accompanied by my manager who is not a sharepoint user group member.

Can somebody please reply.

From experience the presentations last about 2-2.5 hours, finishing around 9pm.  Followed by a small gathering in a local establishment for more informal chat (optional, but have been worth attending).

Everything is relaxed so if you have any questions, even if they are not specifically related to the presentations, there will be opportunity to discuss them.   There is always a mix of people from the hardcore SharePoint consultants through to admins, developers and business representatives.
