Hi Everyone,
I would like to announce the next User Group meeting for the North West. I have 2 fantastic speakers lined up for this evening, so it's one not to be missed. As usual there will be snacks mid-way through and a great bar afterwards to continue your SharePoint chats.
We are, once again, in a new location. This time we have got some space at the fantastic CornerHouse centre for contemporary visual arts and film, in central Manchester. I am hoping that we will be able to use the CornerHouse on a regular basis. And the more of us who have a couple of drinks in the bar afterwards, the cheaper the room will be in the future for us!

Session 1: Neil Hodgkinson MCM @Nellymo - Search (deep architectural configuration)
Discover the Communication flows, Components and the Scalability of the SharePoint 2010 Enterprise Search platform. A session designed to expose the componentized architecture and lift the lid on what goes on beneath the Search Service Application in SharePoint 2010 from Crawl to Propagate to Query.
Session 2: Sam Dolan @PinkPetrol - Branding your SharePoint sites
Sam will be demonstrating what you can potentially make your SharePoint site look like followed by 15 minutes worth of quick fire questions with some on the spot branding! Get your questions in now to Twitter: @MarkStokes or as a comment to this meeting thread. If you can't think of any before the evening, bring some along on the night. Audience participation is the name of this game.
This is a branding, design, look & feel, lick of paint type of session for people interested in seeing what small changes you can make to give your SharePoint site a bit of ownership.
