Um, date in title and date in message don't match - I presume the October date is more likely...

Re: Ullesthorpe Court, Leicestershire - 19th October

    Hi

I would like to attend and would be very keen to hear about custom design / skinning of SharePoint 2007 using master pages, themes & features.  We have recently started looking at possibilities vith a view to heavily branding our portal at work when we upgrade to 2007. As a .NET / SharePoint 2007 novice this is quite new to me so a good overview / how to session with useful tips would be fantastic.  I would also be very interested to know about the extent to which a portal can be designed to incorporate accessibility / DDA web standards.

The recent HedKandi site has caught my attention: http://blogs.msdn.com/ecm/archive/2006/09/30/777819.aspx

    Many thanks

Re: Ullesthorpe Court, Leicestershire - 19th October

Hi Hannah - I covered this a few weeks ago at the last SUGUK meeting, though the blog posting you mention covers most of what I talked about. If you want to ask me any specific questions, either email them to me at ben@cscape.com or catch me after the next (London) meeting on the 26th.

Re: DDA - I'm currently working with the RNIB to build a completely accessible set of MOSS page layouts, admin (_layouts) screens etc. so that we can build their intranet and public facing websites in MOSS. We're launching in phases over the next year, and at some point in the next few months I expect to have enough lessons learnt to give another session to the SUGUK.

    Thanks,

    Ben

Re: Ullesthorpe Court, Leicestershire - 19th October

    Hi

Not sure if these are appropriate but any or all of these:

    - designing a normal workflow in VS, adding it to a doc repository and automatically applying to documents created from a specific content type.  This would also be useful to associate a state machine workflow too in the same way if its possible

    - creating infopath form, adding to a list, capturing/retrieving the results in sql 2k5 db

    - pulling SSRS reports into moss and linking to personalisation ie. passing in user credentials to personalise report content ?

    - editing excel spreadsheets using excel services/programming API

    Thanks

Re: Ullesthorpe Court, Leicestershire - 19th October

I'd like to learn more about any webparts coming out for 2007's release. Also, if anyone would like to present some migration tools that will ease the transition from SP 2003 into 2007.

I have also been looking at a recycle bin tool from AvePoint, but I have heard rumors that 2007 has its own recycle bin. If anyone has more infomration about this, please let me know. I do not want to make the purchase if I do not have to.

And, I would love to attend, but I will be out of the country :(
