Hello, I just wanted to say hi to all, Ive been managing a project to rollout MOSS 2007 to a large number of schools in the South East.

Its all starting to happen now and we are ramping up past the forty thousand users (of a total of some three hundred thousand).

Were also using LCS and looking at taking this to latest version.

I have been working on Sharepoint for 2 weeks for an LEA about to roll it out to schools too. Would love to be able to share experiences as at the moment, having never used Sharepoint before the thought is very daunting.

The platform has been created already. I am a web designer and I will be helping the site set up and also using Sharepoint to make the info the schools want to display look as nice as possible as well as updating the LEA Sharepoint side of the site.

Have lots of issues already which is why I joined up here!

I've setup a few sharepoint sites for schools as well one which has several schools connected to.  I'm just about to start a new project which is the for largest school in Europe (2600 kids) and will also have their 56 feeder schools as well.

It would be great to hear what you are doing - keep up the postings.  I've added a blog post about a school I met but would be great to get some other added on there too.  Look out for Twynham school half way down http://www.sharepointblogs.com/ajp
