Hi,

I have a page in my MOSS site containing a Document Library web part. I've set the Selected View to a particular view, but whenever I deploy content to my production server, the selected view does not update to what I set it to on my development server.

How can I get the selected views to deploy?

You need to set the selected view as the default view before creating the template.

Thanks, but unfortunately, that didn't work.

To elaborate on my situation, I have multiple pages all displaying the same document library, but depending on which page you're viewing only particular files are displayed.

I cannot use a different library per page as some files need to appear on more than one page.

If you wish to see what I mean, the site is: http://www.jrcptb.org.uk/Specialty/Pages/default.aspx  Currently, the selected view of the 30 specialties was set manually by going into each page.

I appreciate any assistance or suggestions.

We're talking about a Web Part view here, not the document library view.

Have you checked the scope of the page you are creating as a template - Personal/Shared?

Ah, maybe I changed the wrong view, I'll take a look at the web part view now.

Hmm, sorry for my ignorance, but I'm not sure what you mean by changing the default view of the web part.

Currently I can go to one of the web part pages, click Modify Shared Web Part, and then in the Selected View drop down list, I select which view I want. But how do I make that view the default for that particular page?

In the Advanced node, I've unticked Allow Editing in Personal View, but that didn't make a difference - the selected view does not deploy over to the production server.
