Hi Steve

The Best Practices conference is not specific to any vertical. A lot of the best practice sessions will still be relevant to education envoironments. I was recently at a large school and during the days discussions many of the topics that we discussed are actual sessions in the conference. For example a lot of the best practices for the infrastructure side and extranet access.

There are no plans for an education specific SharePoint conference although that may be something we could do as a User Group event one evening.

I smell a junket in the making if I can convince my boss that she would definitely benefit from some of the "Business Adoption" sessions.

lol , obviously we cannot reveal names but I can tell you that many companies and people who are members of the user group are attending the conference. We are currently anticipating between 450 - 600 will be attending going by current daily registration numbers.

Yes there are spaces left and yes you can attend any of the sessions in any of the tracks so you can build your own agenda. We will also be recording all the sessions and sending out the dvd after the conference so you won't even have to worry about the sessions you missed.

The conference seems great. I have a mixed skill set and would be interested to see a mix of IT Pro, Dev and IW presentations... would it be possible to mix and match whatever speaker I wish to listen to on the day?

Hi Himesh , the only European SharePoint Conference in 2009 will be the Best Practices one in London in April http://www.sharepointbestpractices.co.uk , Microsoft will not be holding one in Europe in 2009.

We have just confirmed that there will be a SharePoint Best Practices Conference in the UK from April 6th - 8th 2009. I will be announcing the official site and details in the next day or two.
