Glasgow - week of the 26th

If you are interested in attending or helping out with a venue to host let me know by posting here. I was thinking of the wednesday or Thusday 28th or 29th.

If we can get enough interest then I will post more details.

Can't help with the hosting in Glasgow, but if you are ever thinking of moving a meeting a little farther north to St Andrews I can do.

Thanks Nate , I would rather keep it to central Glasgow on this occassion but I like the idea of a User Group meeting in St Andrews.

I would have liked to have come down but have commitments in the day to make it.

Hopefully another time up north as Nate says.

Re: Glasgow - week of the 26th

I am a Director of Chelford Solutions for Microsoft in Glasgow.

Our office has a boardroom capable of holding 14 people comfortably. With re-arrangment we can accommodate 20. The room is available on Wednesday but not Thursday. On Thursday we will be hosting with Microsoft the first 'TEST DRIVE for Sharepoint 2007' in Scotland. We would be happy to discuss the event, the content and the current interest in Sharepoint from across many sectors.

We are very central at 90 St Vincent St (across form the Drum and Monkey pub), half way between Queen St and Central Stations.

Tea, coffee and water are available free (and some biscuits).

Please call Karen Halkett on 0141 204 0666 if you wish to book the room

Can you advise at what time during the day you wish to hold the event?

Re: Glasgow - week of the 26th

I would be very interested in attending - and could potentialy offer a central Glasgow venue if required for 20 - 30 people.

Re: Glasgow - week of the 26th

No Confirmation yet , I first wanted to see how many we could get , to be honest for 2 -3 attendees it is not really worth it to make it formal , however I am all up for just meting up and having a meal and a Beer.  Also if there is a Microsoft Event on the Thursday night I guess we could atted that , is this a formal event by Microsoft that requires a sign up ?

Re: Glasgow - week of the 26th

I agree Tim , Beer and Meal sounds great. So how about Wednesday night Beer and Meal somewhere in Glasgow where we can hear ourselves think ?

I am not a knowledgeable person of Glasgow so suggestions of location would be appreciated.

Re: Glasgow - week of the 26th

I would be quite interested in coming along, but could only make Thursday. Unfortunately I can't help out with hosting - unless everyone would be happy with a barn in South Ayrshire!

    All the best
