    Top Navigation Feature

    Hi All,

I was just wondering if anyone has managed to add top level navigation items and customisations, as a simple feature that does not use code behind. I was hoping to use custom actions in a similar way that you can use a simple feature to add items to the site actions menu without delving into the object model. I have found a very good item by Todd Baginski that covers the latter but wish to achieve if possible a similar result with the top nav but with less complexity

     http://www.sharepointblogs.com/tbaginski/archive/2007/12/26/how-to-programmatically-customize-site-navigation-in-wss-3-0-and-moss-2007.aspx

    Regards

    Darren

    Re: Top Navigation Feature

    Darren,

I have used a Corasworks module for top navigation that uses lists to control the entries and enable security trimming based on list visibility. It's quite easy to use and lets you set-up navigation without dipping into code yourself. It's probably only available as part of their suite but I'm sure there are similar webParts available out there.

Otherwise it's likely to be a coding job.

    Paul.
