Looking for archive solutions for MOSS

    Hi there,

does anyone know of any decent archiving tools that allow for all the contents of a SharePoint site to be 'dumped' onto disk..... easily?  Any guidance would be appreciated.

    Many Thanks

Now thats why SUGUK have vendor nights!!!  The last one at Victoria covered this off!

Without sounding pedantic - what exactly do you mean by archiving as archiving is not the same as backing up the content databases for example, which can fairly easily be dumped to disk.  Archiving is normally policy based and usually item and audit specific.

.......anyway - take a look at Avepoint, it's probably got your back covered regardless!

    Regards

Thanks for this John, I was at the vendor night (thought it was excellent! we should have more!), and that's what kicked off this question, while i'm aware of the AvePoint solution, I'm wondering if there are any other decent contenders?

    Cheers!

    Twas a good night indeed!

I'm relatively familiar with Meridio, Documentum, Livelink and aware of Commvault and Wisdom as formal archive add-ons.  Might be worth looking into them to start with as a pointer.  Should all help with policy based archive solutions.
