SharePoint User Group UK

Hello everyone,

We've just rolled out our room and reservation site in sharepoint, so users can make their own bookings and only edit or delete their own entry.

I've just noticed that sometimes it allows double bookings, has anyone come across this before?

This could cause a potential problem so I need to get this sorted asap, can anyone offer any advice?

We're running 2007 but i'm not sure if the template is the same or not.
are you using it as is, or have you got custom forms ?

I'm using it as it is, just a couple of extra columns added.

I think I may have sorted it though, I deleted the resource and added it again. Luckily the room in question had no bookings, I think if it had I may have had to put them all in again.

One problem i ran into on 2007 was the pesky RERStatus, i've got a rant on here about it.  :D   but you only need worry if you have custom forms.

Going back to this problem, I fear its creeping back again. I need to nip it in the bud and stop it happening again.

Has anyone any advice etc on how to stop the resource becoming corrupt? (I guess thats whats been happening anyway).

Has anyone else experienced problems with resource bookings, and the resource getting double booked?

All tips, trick and advice much appreciated.
