A quick hello and thank you

Just wanted to say hi and also a thank you (in particular to Hope4Sun and Paul Leigh) to those who have already been really helpful towards me here. It will hopefully ease some of the pain I'm currently experiencing with SharePoint!

I'm involved with a test of WSS 3.0 (currently without MOSS 2007) for my organisation and (amongst other things) am trying to convert it to look like our online corporate identity. Any advice with regards to reading on creating site definitions would be good. I have followed the SDK how to, which uses Visual Studio, and read a few articles on the web but would really like some more information about best practices and dealing with pages that use other master pages (e.g. simple.master and application.master) to see if it's possible to customise, say, the People and Groups page or the Sign In page when using Forms Based Authentication.

Thanks again for the warm welcome so far.

    Mike
