I have client with WSS V2, WSS V3 and Search Server Express installed. The WSS V2 is in place to allow migration of documents to the WSS V3 installation. I have setup a content source in Search Server Express pointing to the WSS V2 site, when a full index is performed the correct number of files in the index is reported (I have tried the content source configured as a SharePoint site and Web Site and both configurations return the correct number of files in the index). However when I create a Search Scope in the WSS V3 site using the content source the Search Scope shows 0 files. This remains the case when a automatic and manual Search Scope update is performed.
