Publishing MOSS 2007 with ISA 2006

I have published MOSS 2007 with ISA and everything works externally except the link to my sites on the front page. The ISA server is publishing as follows: external request https://server1 forward to http://server2, forward the original host header.
All links on the front page show up as https://server1/'whatever' apart from the my site link which shows as http://server1/whatever.
When I manually browse to https://server1/'My_Site_Location' all of the links are https except all links in the My Profile section. However if you manually browse to these locations adding an s to the http everything works fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Sean,

Do you have the AAM setup the same for the MySites web application and the Portal web application?

Also I would normally not make the servername available through ISA and use real domain names internally and externally.

Re: Publishing MOSS 2007 with ISA 2006

    Andrew,

I have the following setup and to be honest have played around with AAM and still am not sure whether I have it correct or not!
External DNS name of ISA server - isa.domain.co.uk
Internal DNS name of ISA server - isa.domain.co.uk
Internal SharePoint server name - moss.domain.co.uk

    ISA Setup
    Forward all requests for https://isa.domain.co.uk to http://moss for paths; /sites/*, /personal/*, /_vti_inf.html*, /_vti_bin/*, /upresources/*, /_layouts/*

    AAM collection setup
Internal URL http://moss  - zone default  - public URL http://moss (this is not in my external DNS zone, I am running split brain DNS)
Internal URL http://isa.domain.co.uk - zone Intranet - public URL http://isa.domain.co.uk (this is in my internal and external DNS zones)

When I browse internally to http://moss/sites/portal/default.aspx I get the standard MOSS main page with mysites and mylinks links which work fine.
However if I browse to https://isa.domain.co.uk/sites/portal/default.aspx after loggin in to my ISA FBA page I get the standard MOSS main page without a mysite or mylinks link.

I know AAM was put there to simplfy things so I can only deduce that I am an idiot and I shall explain this to the SharePoint team in a couple of weeks at Tech-Ed!.

Any help would be gratefully received and mean that I don't have to take it out on them in barcelona!

Are you sure your ISA server is passing you credentials back correctly?

One recommendation I make is to have internal and external users accessing the same URL,  so internally I would get my DNS to redirect http://moss to http://isa.domain.co.uk

    Andrew,

After reading the blog and re-reading it I have got it all working, I was missing a second internal to external AAM.

I still have a small problem, allsites, mysites and everything is now displayed properly, however I am getting a mouseover error when I try and access any of the dropdown menus through the ISA server, this doesn't happen if I browse straight to the site behind the ISA server.
